After School Club

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are writing following our letter last term regarding the Breakfast and After School Club Facility.  As you are aware, we are undergoing a review of the club and the current facilities provided.

We have put in place an advance booking and payment system in order for us to know the numbers attending and I am pleased to report that the Breakfast club is maintaining as it should be, but the After School Club continues to make a loss.

As you know, we have the booking form system now in place and we will ensure that they are sent home towards the end of each half-term.  We ask that they are returned with the payment, prior to the new term beginning.  If we do not receive the forms with payments attached, then we will relinquish the place to another child.  If you pay for the club by childcare vouchers and/or via your employer, on receipt of the booking form, we will send home an invoice, which must be settled before the start of the new half-term to guarantee the place.

There will be 10 places at the After School Club initially but this can be increased, due to demand when sufficient extra places are required.  It would, however, have to increase by 5 children each time to cover the costs and allow the correct adult ratio.

Whilst at the After School Club, the children staying for the late departure of 6pm will be provided with a snack and drink.  This will not be a cooked meal but bread, toast, fruit, etc..

Mrs Toney will be drawing up a programme of activities which will be circulated yourselves and all parents in school to allow them to see what takes place at the After School Club.

We hope that these measures will allow our After School Club to continue to thrive and provide the after school care you require for your children.
