Red Nose Event

23rd March 2017

Dear Parents/Carers,

On Thursday 23rd March we will be holding a fundraising day for Red Nose Day. We have made the decision to hold our fundraising day on the Thursday as some children will be out of school on an educational visit on the actual Red Nose Day.

Our school parliament have met together and shared a variety of ideas from the children for us to raise money for this day across the school. For a donation of £1 we are suggesting that children join together for ‘A red day’ where children can attend school in non-school uniform for the day. We are encouraging children to wear as many red items as possible for this and a red-nose if they would like to!

Throughout the day we will also be planning different activities across the school including gathering together a selection of Gatehouse Jokes. The children will be sharing these with each other throughout the day and possibly making a joke book to sell at a letter date!  This connects with the Comic Relief theme of ‘Do something funny for money’.

As well as this, we will be creating a giant red nose in the hall led by our School Parliament members. Children are invited to bring in small coins (1p, 2p and 5ps) to contribute to this.

Please see your class teacher if you have any queries about the day.

Thank you for your continued support with raising money for good causes and we hope to have a fantastically funny day for Comic Relief!
