Year 2 – Bygones Trip Tuesday 17th November

6th November 2015

As part of our topic on ‘People from the Past’ we have organised for year 2 to take part in a visit to Bygones, where they will get the opportunity to observe, at first hand what life would have been like during Victorian times.

We will be leaving school at 9.15am and will return by the end of school for you to pick your child up as normal.

Children will need to take a packed lunch and a drink.  I have booked a room at Bygones where we can eat our lunch.  Children will not need to take any money and must not bring any valuables, including mobile phones.

Children are expected to wear their school uniforms as normal.

We have organised for some tour guides to show the children around the Victorian streets, which will give them the opportunity to find out lots of information.

We have been fortunate enough to have a contribution from the PTA to cover the majority of the costs, big thank you to the PTA. However, we are asking for a voluntary donation of £5.00 per child. This includes entrance fee, hour and a half tour guide and transport. Unfortunately, unless sufficient funds are raised the trip we will be unable to go.

I would also appreciate it if you are able to help on the trip to also add this on the reply slip. Thank you.

Yours sincerely,

Lauren Crichard
