  • Daily fruit or vegetable snack.
  • Suitable coats and shoes for the weather, we will be outside as much as possible!

Homework.

Thank you very much for the support that you give to your child’s learning at home.

Taking an interest in your child’s learning is proved to make a significant difference on their learning. Spending 10 minutes a night listening to your child, reading to them and questioning them on their reading will really help them to continue to make progress. There will also be weekly homework activities and a project, later in the term, in which you can be involved in your child’s learning to support what they are doing in school.

Useful Information

Your child’s teacher is more than happy for you to pop in and see them if you have any concerns or queries.  They will usually be available before the school day or at the end of the day.

We always encourage children to sip water throughout the day to avoid dehydration and to support concentration. They can bring a bottle with their name on to school and this can be re-filled throughout the day. It is important that this is water. Research has shown that this is the best way of improving concentration. We do now also have water taps in school which the children can use at break and lunch times.
