Welcome to our Forest School page
The Forest School is looking very green now the trees are in leaf. The children who are still having to come into school are using the area most afternoons. We are making good use of our new shed that the PTA kindly provided.
Our new tree nursery is looking great. Back in February, the gardening club planted all the trees we got from the Woodland Trust in the new beds on the bank. We have Silver Birch, Hazel, Rowan, Wild Cherry, Dogwood and Buckthorn saplings - they have been enjoying the recent rain! When the trees have grown bigger, we will plant them in the woodland and hedgerows around our grounds.

Here are some of the young trees we have planted. You can identify them because they have differently shaped leaves.

Leaf Identification links:
Can you identify different trees from their leaves? What trees can you find when you are out for a walk? You might want to print one of these to help.
