Covid -19 Update
It is imperative that we all ensure, that we abide by the government guidance, of pupils with any of the following symptoms, NOT attending school, and that you arrange a test for the pupil immediately.
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.
Whilst these may be linked to a 'cold' or another winter virus is could be Covid -19. In order to protect our school community, the pupil MUST stay at home and be tested.
Under current DFE guidance, if a pupil or staff member tests positive we will inform all parents/ carers, starting with those immediately effected within a class bubble.
