Years 2 to 5

Dear parents/ carers

As part of our ongoing support to our Year 2-5 pupils who are currently being home schooled, we would like to invite these pupils, in their year groups, onto the school site before the end of term to attend a socially distanced picnic and some outdoor sport.

Home Learner Picnic Bubbles

Monday 6th July - Year 2 with Mr Stephens
Tuesday 7th July - Year 3 with Mrs Ames
Thursday 9th July- Year 4 with Miss Tomlinson
Friday 10th July- Year 5 with Miss Naylor

The children can enter through the main gate at 1:30pm, have a socially distanced picnic on the field and then complete some socially distanced athletics events. The children will leave through the main gate at 2.30pm. Please can you provide a picnic for you child, this food and drink will not be shared with other children. The children will not come into contact with any other children than that of their picnic year group, there will be no more than 15 children in the picnic bubble, if we have more than this number require a space per year group we will look to provide another date and time before the end of term for them to attend. The staff supporting the picnic bubbles will abide by all hygiene and social distancing guidance and their usual 'in school bubbles' will be supported by either the TA that supports the bubble or myself, once again abiding by social distancing and hygiene guidance. Children are welcome to bring in their own hand sanitiser or the school will provide it's own.

The picnic bubble children will be able to access the disabled toilet in the school building if urgent, however we would ask that you ensure the children go to the toilet before coming onto the school site.

If the weather is poor and we are unable to hold the picnic bubbles we will postpone to the following week on the same day and time (currently the forecast looks favourable).

Please can you reply to indicate whether you will require a place for your child by Friday 3rd July.

Best wishes

Leila Naldrett
