Welcome

Welcome to Gatehouse Primary Academy. We are a large, coastal Primary School which became part of the ‘First Federation Trust’ on 1st July 2017. The First Federation is a Multi-Academy Trust of primary schools across Devon. To see other schools that are in the Trust, please look at the First Federation Trust website.

We currently have 328 children on roll, split into 12 classes. We aim to provide a caring, safe and stimulating environment for all children to learn. Each child is supported and encouraged to do their best and take part in a wide range of opportunities and experiences building happy memories of their school days. Our talented team of educators enjoy their work and the inspiring environment makes learning fun and raises standards.  We are also fortunate to have an enviable amount of outside space and have added our very own Forest School.

I am very pleased to share that in December 2021, we had a full section 5 Ofsted Inspection where we were assessed to be 'Good' in all categories.
