Years 1 & 2

Hello Unit 1, 

 

I hope you are all looking forward to meeting your new teacher in September. Next Friday (17th) we will be having a sneak peak and you can meet them over zoom. Times will be sent out by your current teacher via SeeSaw this week. 

 

Myself, Mrs Emmerton and our wonderful teacher assistants loved spending a very short period of time with the children who are still having to work from home this week. I look forward to seeing you again soon. 

 

Home learning - We  know this is a very long term. We know the children are tired. This is the same every year. Don't worry if the children are feeling this at home. 

Three tips to keep going and help your child:

1: Read to the children, listen to audio books and smash bug club; 

2: Keep watching the BBC bitesize videos and white rose videos;

3: Write little and often focusing on letter formation and punctuation - even it is silly sentences. 

 

Year 1 will continue to be supported in school or via the First Federation Virtual school.
