You may have heard in the news recently that some schools are closing due to issues with Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete. 

 

We would like to reassure you that this does not apply to Gatehouse, and we will be open as normal from tomorrow (Wednesday 6th September). We look forward to welcoming you all back to school tomorrow morning.

Please note that now that the weather is cooler, all children in years 1 - 6 should now be wearing a tie to school.

 

If your child is currently in EYFS, please be reminded that from year 1 children are required to wear a white school shirt with a tie.

Please note however, that clip on ties are currently out of stock. We have been told that they are being made bespoke, and will be back in stock via the website shortly.

If your child is a year 6 leaver, we would appreciate any donations of ties for our pre-loved supplies.

 

Dear Year 6 Parents,

As we approach the end of the year, we will be asking the children to complete a page of memories from their time at Gatehouse. We hope to include first names, birth months and a photo of the children, along with some memories and special moments from their time at our school. These will be made into booklets for the children to take home. We hope these provide lasting memories of their peers to look back on. If you do not consent to any of the above being included in the Memory Book for your child, please let the school office know, before 9am Wednesday 19^th July.

Bike cycles and Scooters at Gatehouse

• A cycle rack and store is offered by the school but items are left at owner’s risk.

• Please provide a bike lock.

• All children must wear head protection when cycling to and from school.

• Children must not ride bikes or scooters on the school grounds.
